The EB-5 is an entrepreneurial visa often referred to as an alternative to the H1-B. It requires an investment of $900,000.00 if the jobs will be created in what is deemed a targeted area for job creation. If the area in which jobs are created is not targeted, that investment is a minimum of 1.8 million dollars. If the requirements are met, and jobs for ten American workers are created, the EB-5 visa will be granted.
